We woke up today with the barometer much higher at 1021, light winds of 12kts and blue skies with white puffy clouds. What a difference after three days of gales with winds 30 – 50 kts and very large breaking waves. We and Nakee took a pounding but came through intact.
I cooked us a nice Sunday morning breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans (the latter being a British breakfast item) and even dared to get the espresso machine out of storage now that things won’t fly around the cabin.
We spun up the watermaker, which had been pickled for long term storage, so now making fresh water.
The weather is now decidedly more Caribbean than North American, we can be outside in just shorts, have stowed away the cold weather boots and gloves.
Needless t say, the morale aboard Nakee is much improved!
