For the past several days it has often been the case that the wind has been mostly blowing from where we have wanted to sail, or we have been becalmed and needed to burn “dinosaur juice”.
This morning however, after we weighed anchor at Katakolon, we set off on the ~28 nautical mile passage South East to Kyparissia and we have winds from the NW, so finally an easy, downwind sail in relatively flat seas, at least so far. As is typically the case, the wind speed increases as the afternoon wears on.
