Last Friday night three friends from the HSBC sailing Club flew into Tortola from England for 10 days of sailing fun in the BVI with me aboard Nakee. We spent the first night on anchor in Trellis Bay near the airport, took a taxi to Road Town to get provisions on Saturday morning and that afternoon motored over to Scrub Island for some snorkeling and a meal aboard.
On Sunday we anchored off Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda and visited the famous Devil’s Bay National Park and Baths.
Monday we sailed North and around to anchor in the Virgin Gorda Sound and had a great lunch at Saba Rock (https://sabarock.com).
Tuesday we sailed 12 miles downwind to White Bay on Guano Island and had a dolphin off the bow (video clip below).
Wednesday (today) we sailed further West to Cane Garden Bay, where we are currently anchored near the beach and have come ashore to visit the local rum distillery (what else?)!
