I’m now about halfway from Barbados to Trinidad, 100 miles to go. Just seen the first two ships (tankers, crossing in front of me) since leaving Barbados. True to the Yellow Sea state warning in force until tomorrow, it has been a rough, bouncy ride so far, with beam on waves splashing up into the cockpit quite often – I have had to keep all the windward hatches closed to keep most of the water on the outside of the boat, lol. After having been over-reefed to slow my progress down to time my arrival for the light of morning, I’ve now put out most of the canvas to pick up the pace.
