I’ve had problems with the app I’m using (Jet Pack) to edit my WordPress website and lost two long posts I’d written, one of them describing work on the foredeck in heavy conditions. I’ll just drop in some pictures below with titles but without commentary, as I don’t know how long I’ll have Internet.
Nakee is now about 55 miles South West of Iloilo do Pico and the 5G cellular dome on Nakee’s mast head just picked up two bars of cell phone signal. None of our phones in the boat can receive a cell signal, but the 22 meters of mast height means the boat’s cell tower can, so I’ve reset JetPack and hope I can post this update.
We still have 166 nm to go to Ponta Delgada., ETA Thursday afternoon. The marina has confirmed they have space for us and I’ve made contact with a sail maker to repair damage to the Genoa and mainsail – pictures below. We have a long list of work to get done in the marina, staring with getting the sails down and to the sail maker. I have to do some work up the mast and to seal a few leaks, one around the unused wiper washer motor and the other in the deck around the port cap shroud chain plate. Have a long shopping list for the chandlery, let’s hope they are well stocked.
Anyway, here are some photos from the last few days.

Glad you are progressing well. The photo showing you holding the wrench looks like an AI product, probably 100 kg weight and designed to screw-in or -out the entire mast? 😉 Wish you good conditions for the rest of the leg so you get a bit time to relax.
