Had a great sail up to Bequia in 24 kts of wind and a heavy se state! Motored into Port Elizabeth in Bequia and dropped the hook between two cruising monohulls and near a local dive site.
There are many, many yachts here, along with mega yachts and the occasional cruise ship.
While out snorkeling on the dive spot I was surprised to surface and encounter a young man with a completely self constructed model sailing yacht. As it had no radio remote control, he adjusted the model’s course by paddling to catch up to it on some sort of board he rode. watching him beat upwind was impressive – he had no time to chat!

This “sailboat” ended up again moored near me, after having been near me in the Tobago Cays. Talk about spreader light envy, lol!
